As the Head Strength and Conditioning Coach at Emory & Henry College, Mike Caro oversees the performance training programs of 22 varsity teams and three club teams. In addition he supervises one assistant and several academic interns and student-coaches. Mike also serves as the Chair of the NSCAs College Coaches Special Interest Group. When not training athletes, he manages the campus fitness center and its staff of over 22 student workers, and runs the strength and conditioning internship program. Prior to coming to Emory & Henry College, Caro spent several years coaching athletes from youth to professional levels and from Division I to NAIA. He received his Masters Degree in Exercise Science & Health Promotion from California University of Pennsylvania, and a Bachelors degree in Computer and Information Systems from Siena Heights University, where he had a successful track and field career, culminating with a university record and a finish as the 2003 National Champion in the Hammer Throw. Caro was inducted into the Siena Heights University Athletic Hall of Fame in 2014.
