Dr. Josiah Igono, PhD, CSCS recently completed his third season as Major League Director of Peak Performance, and his eighth season in the Texas Rangers Organization. He is responsible for the implementation and development of peak performance and mental skills programs for players and coaches. Prior to Texas, Igono was the lead performance specialist at Grand Canyon University in Phoenix, AZ. He played football for Arizona State University and Northern Arizona University as a defensive back. He holds his doctorate in Performance Psychology and is also a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) with the National Strength and Conditioning Association.
The NSCA is a recognized 501(c)(3) educational nonprofit dedicated to advancing strength and conditioning research and education for all people.
