Justin Kilian began his education with a Bachelor of Science degree in Kinesiology from Liberty University followed by a Masters degree in Kinesiology from the University of Virginia before completing a PhD in Health and Human Performance from Concordia University Chicago. Having previously worked as a personal trainer at a fitness center and an exercise specialist in a clinical setting, Kilian is currently serving as an Associate Professor of Strength and Conditioning at Liberty University. He is the Director of the Bachelor of Science and Minor in Strength and Conditioning programs, as well as the Director of the Functional Assessment Lab. In addition to academics, Kilian serves as an assistant coach (goalies) and strength and conditioning coach with the mens lacrosse team. Kilian has been a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) since 2014 and is a two-time recipient of the National Strength and Conditioning Association Foundations (NSCAF) Challenge Scholarship. He serves on the executive council of the NSCA Educators Special Interest Group (SIG) and is a member of the NSCA Lacrosse SIG.
The NSCA is a recognized 501(c)(3) educational nonprofit dedicated to advancing strength and conditioning research and education for all people.
