Kristen Dieffenbach, PhD

Kristen Dieffenbach is the Director of the Center for AppliedCoaching and Sport Science at West Virginia University and anassociate professor of Athletic Coaching Education. She earnedher PhD in exercise and sport science with an emphasis in Sportand Exercise Psychology from the University of North Carolina-Greensboro and is currently serving as the president of the UnitedStates Center for Coaching Excellence. She has been a professionalendurance sport coach and a sport psychology educationalconsultant for over 20 years working with developmental throughOlympic level athletes and coaches. Her research interests focus oncoach developer training, coaching and professionalism, ethics andmoral decision making in coach development.
