Drew Gonzalez is a PhD in the Department of Kinesiology and Sports Management (KNSM) at Texas A&M University (TAMU) where he works in the Exercise and Sport Nutrition Laboratory (ESNL). Drews research focuses on the impacts of nutrients, nutrient timing, exercise on cardiopulmonary fitness, and cardiometabolic health. More specifically, Drew has worked on several projects focused on improving the physiological stress responses among tactical athletes via nutrition and exercise. Drew also authored the International Society of Sports Nutrition Position Stand on Tactical Athlete Nutrition. Drew aims to continue to conduct research to best optimize tactical athlete nutrition and improve the health, performance, and operational readiness of the operator.
