Sam Melendrez, MS, CSCS is in his 13th year as a full-time strength and conditioning coach at Discovery Canyon Campus High School, in Colorado Springs, where he is in charge of designing and implementing programs for all of the schools athletes before, during, and after school. Prior to coming to Discovery Canyon he was an intern in strength and conditioning at the Olympic Training Centers in Colorado Springs, and Lake Placid, an assistant at the United States Air Force Academy and a graduate assistant at the University of New Mexico. Sam is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist and active member of the NSCAs High School SIGs executive council.
