11:30 AM - 12:25 PM Efficient & Effective Client Cueing (hands-on) by Gini Grimsley, MS, CSCS Regardless of tenure of fitness professional, cueing tends to be lower on the priority list. Coaching in a way that is a systematic and accommodates all learning types will allow fitness professionals to spend less time explaining and more time executing movements in training sessions. Basing cues on concise directives, demonstrating the proper movement pattern and allowing the client to learn by practicing, the personal trainer will be able to effectively coach their clients into the desired positions more efficiently. An additional point of emphasis is to have points of reference the client can connect with to encourage proper motor patterning. |

2:30 PM - 3:25 PM Acceleration Fundamentals, From Drilling to Application in Sport (hands-on) by Jin Yuan Teaching derivatives of acceleration mechanics from a technical sprinting model with application to movements utilized in sport. Posture, position, placement, and patterning take priority and act as key "technical model" landmarks in acceleration. |
