9:00 AM - 9:50 AM Walk Before You Run: Understanding the Basics of Gait for Optimal Program Design by Rocky Snyder, CSCS, NSCA-CPT Participants will gain a better understanding of the gait cycle and joint mechanics. Attendees will rethink how they prescribe exercises to clients in relation to how they fundamentally move. Participants will come to realize that the selection of exercises can improve or reduce performance knowing the difference will be a game changer. |
10:00 AM - 10:50 AM Successful Components of Senior Fitness Programming on an Individual and Group Level by Kate Foley, MS, NSCA-CPT This session will cover the development of facility program planning (both daily classes and annual programing cycles), needs, goals and physical assessments specific to seniors and elderly, and clinical considerations for clients and classes. |
11:00 AM - 11:50 AM Preparing the Rotational Athlete by Asau Rodriguez, MS, CSCS This hands-on demonstration will look at the needs of a rotational athlete and identify tools and solutions that can be used to address each component.

12:30 PM - 1:20 PM A Versatile, Evidence-Based Programming System for Busy Strength & Conditioning Coaches by Mike Caro, MS, CSCS,*D, RSCC This session will present a straightforward approve for program design that incorporates all major aspects of training in such a way as to not only improve performance, but enhance recovery at the same time; allowing for greater effort in the next training session. The efficiency of this model will help busy strength coaches to design weekly programs quicker and more completely. |
1:30 PM - 2:20 PM Deceleration and Landing Skills: Building the Brakes by Matt Ibrahim, MS This presentation will address the importance of deceleration, force absorption, and landing mechanics in athletic performance. Programming considerations for your athletes will be addressed as well as hands-on training application and coaching walk through. |
2:30 PM - 3:20 PM Progressing Fitness and Nutrition Through the Stages of a Firefighter’s Career by Megan Lautz, MS, RD, LDN, TSAC-F and Kate Dennison, MS, TSAC-F Attendees will be able to (1) Identify health risks of structural firefighters, (2) Recognize the challenges that present at each phase of a firefighter's career, and (3) Recall realistic interventions designed to improve firefighter health. |

As a registered attendee, will I receive a recording of the virtual event?
Yes. You will receive a recording within 1 week after the event to review anything you may have missed. You will have access for one year.
If I miss some of the virtual event will this affect my CEUs?
No. You will receive a recording after the event to review anything you may have missed, therefore receiving the full Category A CEUs.
Will I receive a Certificate of Attendance?
Yes. A certificate will be emailed to you approximately 2 weeks after the event.
How do I report my CEUs?
The NSCA will automatically apply the CEUs to your NSCA Account. If you need to report CEUs elsewhere, you may use the Certificate of Attendance.
Can anyone register for this event?
Yes. Anyone who is interested in an NSCA Event can register.
Do I need a Membership to register?
No. You only need an NSCA Account to register. If you do not have one, you can create one for free.
