Given the numerous approaches and variables which contribute to leadership effectiveness, it is unlikely any single approach is sufficient. This article briefly discusses the leadership approaches most commonly associated with team sports with the intent of providing a foundational understanding of leadership to strength and conditioning coaches.

To maintain an NSCA certification, all certified individuals must complete a certain number of Continuing Education Units (CEUs), every three years. Earning CEUs mean certificants stay current on evolving knowledge and skills in the profession, and promote the ongoing competency of those certified.

Further, the examinations may be developed from references that may be in addition to resources listed below. CSCS Exam Prep LIVE

The NSCA offers an Exam Prep Live Clinic for individuals preparing for the Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) exam. The CSCS Exam Prep Live Clinics are offered in three formats: 1.5-Day, 2-Day and 3-Day options with a blend of classroom lecture and hands-on training. Additional Clinics are added to the calendar every 2-3 months.
